Shock! A player ran the map of Baldur’s Gate 3 within 7 minutes

Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available in the Early Access version, and one of the selling points of the game is its huge map. The game also has more than 45,000 lines of dialogue, and it will reward players who take the time to see everything. However, it is also possible to perform the exact opposite operation and explode in the game as quickly as possible-and a player has completed the 7-minute completion time.

Professor Speedrunner Palmer moved quickly on the map, skipped all encounters and clicked the cutscenes, and managed to reach the final area by rolling the lucky survey dice on the well leading to the final area.

In an e-mail to Kotaku, Professor Palmer pointed out that he had reached “the level where he had no battle, no EXP, and he was still the first level. It takes more than 200 attempts to reduce their time to 7 minutes.

You can watch the full run below to see how they did it:

Of course, this is atypical and only applies to very specific versions. For most players, seven minutes is not even enough to read the EULA (what you have to do) because it contains a hidden mission.

Developer Larian Studios is paying close attention to this early access period and how it is played. The studio recently released a heat map showing how and where players died in the game.
